Privacy Policy
PizzaDrop · Last updated 8 August 2026
PizzaDrop ("we", "us") is a pizza-making companion app operated by
Shoreview SA. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Account information — if you sign in with Google or
email, your name and email address. If you join a Pizza Party as a guest,
an anonymous session identifier (no email).
- Content you create — recipes you save or generate,
dough calculations, and party activity, stored under your account.
- Usage & diagnostics — crash and diagnostic data
(Firebase Crashlytics) to keep the app working, and product analytics
(PostHog) to understand usage. Crash reporting runs on our legitimate
interest in keeping the app working and fixing failures; it records a
Firebase user ID, never your email or name, and is never used for
advertising or profiling. Product analytics runs only with your
consent, which we ask for the first time you open the app — you can
change your choice anytime in Profile → Usage analytics.
- Purchases — subscription status for PizzaDrop Premium
(processed by Apple; we receive the entitlement state, not your card).
- Advertising identifiers — only if advertising is enabled
and only with your permission via the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt.
How we use it
- Provide and sync the app's features across your devices.
- Process subscriptions and restore purchases.
- Understand usage and fix problems.
- Generate recipes from a YouTube video you choose (see below).
AI recipe generation
When you ask PizzaDrop to create a recipe from a YouTube video, we send the
video reference to AI providers (OpenAI and Google Gemini) to produce a
structured recipe. We don't send them your personal profile.
Service providers
We use Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, and Crashlytics
crash reporting), PostHog (product analytics, hosted in the EU, used only with
your consent), RevenueCat (subscriptions), OpenAI and Google (AI recipe
generation), and — where you follow a shopping link — affiliate networks such
as Amazon Associates. If advertising is enabled, Google AdMob. Each processes
data under its own terms.
Affiliate links
Some equipment and ingredient links are affiliate links; we may earn a
commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you.
Retention & deletion
- You can delete individual recipes in the app.
- You can delete your entire account and data in the app:
Profile → Delete account. This is permanent for the data we hold —
account information, content, and purchase records. It does not reach
usage data already collected by our analytics provider (PostHog), which
that provider retains under its own terms.
- Anonymous guest sessions are removed automatically after 30 days.
Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your data. To make a request, contact us
at the address below. Depending on your region (e.g. EEA/UK), you may have
additional rights under the GDPR.
Children
PizzaDrop is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly
collect their data.
Changes
We'll update this page and revise the date above when this policy changes.
